Encouragement During Trials and Tests

The Holy Spirit is overseeing every test that the body of Christ (individually and corporately) is going through and He is encouraging the body during the test. We are not alone. The many saints that have went on before us are standing at the edge of heaven and they are calling out to us, “Hold on!” As the pace of our test speeds up, some are finding it hard to keep up. It seems like they are getting further and further away from their anchor – Jesus Christ. Many are becoming weary. To some it seems like they are taking a step forward and sliding back two. If this is you, the Holy Spirit is placing people at your back and at your side. The people at your back will help you keep anchored. They will strengthen you. Just their presence at your back will bring you comfort. Now instead of sliding backwards, you can continue in the test while holding onto your anchor. The people placed at your side will steady you and keep you from stumbling as the pace of your test speeds up. They will do everything they can to keep you from falling.

Hebrews 12:1-4 NKJV
“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.”

Every person that the Holy Spirit places around you during a test is prepared to hold you up if necessary so you can finish the test. They will give you strength from behind. They will keep you close to the anchor. They will come alongside you to steady you so that you do not fall. And they will encourage you through love when you think that you can’t go on.

About watchingservant

"Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them." Luke 12:37 NKJV When Jesus returns I desire to be found faithful. More than anything in the world I long to hear the voice of the Lord say, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
