The glory of God will come to the church first but it will not stay unless the people take it home with them. If we do not clean up our homes (spiritually) , and keep them that way, the glory of God will not stay in our church. God will not have a double standard. He expects the same standard at home as He does in His church.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 NKJV
“Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
‘I will dwell in them
And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.’
‘Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
And I will receive you
I will be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters,
Says the Lord Almighty’ ”
We must sanctify ourselves. We must keep ourselves clean if we want to experience a continuing outpouring of the glory of God. Each one of us should ask ourselves, “Is there life or death in my home?” There are different things in our homes that can (and will) bring about a spiritual death in our homes. Ultimately, spiritual death in our homes means spiritual death in our church.
