Don’t Get Stuck

BIBLE THOUGHTSHebrews 12:1 NKJV

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us”

Believers should lay aside every weight that hinders the race that God has set before them. They should not get stuck (bogged down) with what other people want them to do or with other people’s problems.

Stuck means jammed, caught, or held in an immovable position. It also means not able to find a solution or way out of a situation.

1. Do what God wants you to do, not what man wants you to do. God has a plan and a purpose for everyone. He will reveal to you what He has called you to do. Many times He doesn’t show you the entire plan or purpose – just one step at a time. There are times that God will use other people to confirm to you what He is calling you to do, but it is only after He has already spoken to you about it.

2. Don’t allow the problems of others to hinder you. If you get bogged down with problems it hinders your useful to the kingdom of God. You are to bear their burden -go to God in earnest prayer on their behalf and listen to see what God will have you do. You must not allow their burdens to cause you to fall or to hinder your walk with God.

Remember that in many cases you can’t change anything, but you know the One who can. There are even times when we try to fix things for others but we only make them worse because God may be trying to speak to the other person through their problem.

About watchingservant

"Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them." Luke 12:37 NKJV When Jesus returns I desire to be found faithful. More than anything in the world I long to hear the voice of the Lord say, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
