Dear Father,

I will praise and bless Your name forever. In all situations and circumstances You are worthy of praise and glory. There is none like You. You lift up the poor out of the dust and the needy out of the ash heap. By the power of the Holy Spirit, help me to never take for granted Your presence.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Psalm 113:1-114:8  NKJV     “Praise the Lord! Praise, O servants of the Lord, Praise the name of the Lord!
Blessed be the name of the Lord From this time forth and forevermore!
From the rising of the sun to its going down The Lord’S name is to be praised.
The Lord is high above all nations, His glory above the heavens.
Who is like the Lord our God, Who dwells on high,
Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in the heavens and in the earth?
He raises the poor out of the dust, And lifts the needy out of the ash heap,
That He may seat him with princes— With the princes of His people.
He grants the barren woman a home, Like a joyful mother of children. Praise the Lord!

When Israel went out of Egypt, The house of Jacob from a people of strange language,
Judah became His sanctuary, And Israel His dominion.
The sea saw it and fled; Jordan turned back.
The mountains skipped like rams, The little hills like lambs.
What ails you, O sea, that you fled? O Jordan, that you turned back?
O mountains, that you skipped like rams? O little hills, like lambs?
Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the God of Jacob,
Who turned the rock into a pool of water, The flint into a fountain of waters.”

Dear Father,

Thank-you for Your many blessings – You are gracious, and full of compassion. I praise You for Your righteousness will endure forever. You bring light to the darkness and guide my every step. With You by my side I will not be shaken, discouraged or defeated. My heart is steadfast in my love for You, and my faith and trust in You will not be shaken. By the power of the Holy Spirit, help me to delight in Your commands. May I walk upright before You in all I do.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Psalm 112:1-10  NKJV    “Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed.
Wealth and riches will be in his house, And his righteousness endures forever.
Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion.
Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.
He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
His heart is established; He will not be afraid, Until he sees his desire upon his enemies.
He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted with honor. The wicked will see it and be grieved; He will gnash his teeth and melt away; The desire of the wicked shall perish.”

The works of the Lord are great, Studied by all who have pleasure in them.
His work is honorable and glorious, And His righteousness endures forever.
He has made His wonderful works to be remembered; The Lord is gracious and full of compassion.
He has given food to those who fear Him; He will ever be mindful of His covenant.
He has declared to His people the power of His works, In giving them the heritage of the nations.
The works of His hands are verity and justice; All His precepts are sure.
They stand fast forever and ever, And are done in truth and uprightness.
He has sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever: Holy and awesome is His name.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.”

Dear Father,

Thank-you that I have the assurance that when I cry out to You in distress, You hear me. You deliver me from untruthful and deceptive people. Even in the midst of my enemies You give peace. By the power of the Holy Spirit, may I always seek Your truth and Your peace.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Psalm 120:1-7   NKJV    “In my distress I cried to the Lord, And He heard me.
Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips And from a deceitful tongue.
What shall be given to you, Or what shall be done to you, You false tongue?
Sharp arrows of the warrior, With coals of the broom tree!
Woe is me, that I dwell in Meshech, That I dwell among the tents of Kedar!
My soul has dwelt too long With one who hates peace.
I am for peace; But when I speak, they are for war.”

Dear Father,

Thank-you that You are a God that does not change His mind. Everything that You have promised us will come to pass. Through Jesus’ sacrifice He has conquered our enemies, making them His footstool. Thank-you for the strength, favor, and power that You give us. You have chosen us to be priests unto You. By the power of the Holy Spirit, help us to remember that You are holy. May everything about us reflect our belief in and of you. Let us live our lives in such a way that it shows we are expecting Jesus’ return.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Psalm 110:1-7    NKJV

“The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”
The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!
Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.
The Lord has sworn And will not relent, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.”
The Lord is at Your right hand; He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath.
He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill the places with dead bodies, He shall execute the heads of many countries.
He shall drink of the brook by the wayside; Therefore He shall lift up the head.”

Dear Father,

Thank-you that You hear my voice and my supplications. You incline Your ear to hear me. When trouble and sorrow surround me, You deliver me. Gracious, and righteous are You, O Lord. You are full of mercy and You preserve me. You deal bountifully with Your people and keep their feet from falling. You have loosed my bonds and You have great plans for me. By the power of the Holy Spirit, help me to render to You the praise and glory due unto You. I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Psalm 116:1-19  NKJV       “I love the Lord, because He has heard My voice and my supplications.
Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.
The pains of death surrounded me, And the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow.
Then I called upon the name of the Lord: “O Lord, I implore You, deliver my soul!”
Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; Yes, our God is merciful.
The Lord preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me.
Return to your rest, O my soul, For the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.
For You have delivered my soul from death, My eyes from tears, And my feet from falling.
I will walk before the Lord In the land of the living.
I believed, therefore I spoke, “I am greatly afflicted.”
I said in my haste, “All men are liars.”
What shall I render to the Lord For all His benefits toward me?
I will take up the cup of salvation, And call upon the name of the Lord.
I will pay my vows to the Lord Now in the presence of all His people.
Precious in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His saints.
O Lord, truly I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant; You have loosed my bonds.
I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving, And will call upon the name of the Lord.
I will pay my vows to the Lord Now in the presence of all His people,
In the courts of the Lord’s house, In the midst of you, O Jerusalem. Praise the Lord!”

Dear Father,

I give thanks to You, O Lord, for You are good. Your works are wonderful and Your mercy endures forever. Thank-you for  redeeming me from the hand of the enemy. With You, I do not have to wander in the wilderness in a desolate way. You satisfy my hunger and thirst. When I cry out to You in trouble, You deliver me out of my distress. When I fall down, You are there to pick me up. You sent Your Word and healed me, and delivered me from destruction. When storms are raging around me, You calm every fear. You led me forth by the right way, that I may dwell in Your presence. By the power of the Holy Spirit, help me to listen to Your counsel. May I never forget, or get too busy, to thank-you for You many blessings and Your lovingkindness.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Psalm 107:1-43  NKJV    “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,
And gathered out of the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.
They wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way; They found no city to dwell in.
Hungry and thirsty, Their soul fainted in them.
Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He delivered them out of their distresses.
And He led them forth by the right way, That they might go to a city for a dwelling place.
Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
For He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul with goodness.
Those who sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, Bound in affliction and irons—
Because they rebelled against the words of God, And despised the counsel of the Most High,
Therefore He brought down their heart with labor; They fell down, and there was none to help.
Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses.
He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And broke their chains in pieces.
Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
For He has broken the gates of bronze, And cut the bars of iron in two.
Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.
Their soul abhorred all manner of food, And they drew near to the gates of death.
Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses.
He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.
Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare His works with rejoicing.
Those who go down to the sea in ships, Who do business on great waters,
They see the works of the Lord, And His wonders in the deep.
For He commands and raises the stormy wind, Which lifts up the waves of the sea.
They mount up to the heavens, They go down again to the depths; Their soul melts because of trouble.
They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, And are at their wits’ end.
Then they cry out to the Lord in their trouble, And He brings them out of their distresses.
He calms the storm, So that its waves are still.
Then they are glad because they are quiet; So He guides them to their desired haven.
Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
Let them exalt Him also in the assembly of the people, And praise Him in the company of the elders.
He turns rivers into a wilderness, And the watersprings into dry ground;
A fruitful land into barrenness, For the wickedness of those who dwell in it.
He turns a wilderness into pools of water, And dry land into watersprings.
There He makes the hungry dwell, That they may establish a city for a dwelling place,
And sow fields and plant vineyards, That they may yield a fruitful harvest.
He also blesses them, and they multiply greatly; And He does not let their cattle decrease.
When they are diminished and brought low Through oppression, affliction and sorrow,
He pours contempt on princes, And causes them to wander in the wilderness where there is no way;
Yet He sets the poor on high, far from affliction, And makes their families like a flock.
The righteous see it and rejoice, And all iniquity stops its mouth.
Whoever is wise will observe these things, And they will understand the lovingkindness of the Lord.”
